History of Theatrical Culture at Český Krumlov Castle

The rich history of theatre culture in Český Krumlov goes back over four hundrend years. Not only the Lords of Krumlov, but other noble families which were settled in Český Krumlov supported theatre productions. The most significant time of blossom for the local theatre culture was from the late 17th to the late 18th century, when the level of the castle theatre gained high central European renown.
