Tourist Services within the Český Krumlov Castle Complex

The most important sections of the interiors and exteriors are open to the public. Two guided tours (No.I Guided Tour of Český Krumlov Castle, No.II Guided Tour of Český Krumlov Castle) passing through the upper part of the castle complex acquaint visitors with original historical interiors from the 16th, 18th and 19th centuries (see Opening Hours and Guided Tours, Services at Český Krumlov Castle). Tourists can also visit the castle tower (Castle No. 59 - Castle Tower) with a gallery and the adjoining premises of the Little Castle. During the tourist season exhibition halls situated inside the premises of the Mint (Castle No. 59 - Mint), Dairy (Castle No. 59 - Dairy) and the Column Hall in the former castle stables (Castle No. 232 - Stables) offer thematic exhibitions from castle depositories as well as exhibitions of modern art.

The four storeys of Gothic and Renaissance Cellars in the IVth Courtyard of Český Krumlov Castle accommodate a ceramics exhibition. Exceptionally interesting is the tour of interiors in the reopened Baroque Castle Theatre in Český Krumlov, where a trial tour operation is being carried out. Children are sure to be enchanted by the bears which are bred in the bear moat between the Ist and IInd courtyards. More than forty buildings and palaces situated around five castle courtyards and an extensive castle park create the exterior guided tours (see Opening Hours and Guided Tours + Services at Český Krumlov Castle).

Information and service within the Český Krumlov Castle is provided by Unios Tourist Service Agency. Souvenirs, guidebooks, objects of handicraft and historical replicas of glassware and furniture can be purchased in the shop in the IVth courtyard (see Shops, Information and Exchange-offices in the Český Krumlov Castle Complex).

Tourists can have a meal or snack in several restaurants housed in the historic interiors of the former Gothic castle tower-Dairy, in the Castle Riding Hall or in the knightly tavern called Markéta situated in the castle park (see Where to eat at the Castle Complex).
